Please Note: During the extrusion process, the recycled PVC granules are heated up to 195 degrees, and the molten PVC is then fed into the tool to form the profile of the gravel board or post. Once out of the tool the gravel board is immersed in water to cool the PVC down. The water tank used is 6m long.
As you can imagine, once heated to 195 degrees and even after being immersed in cold water, the profile still retains some residual heat. When the gravel boards or posts are packed, the residual heat can cause the boards and posts to sweat, and this can cause a blotchy pattern. An example of this can be seen in the picture gallery for reference. This is perfectly normal and after being in the sun and fresh air they will weather naturally. This is not a fault with the boards, just a side effect of the manufacturing process (see image 2)
