These Loft Flooring Boards are used to overlay existing flooring or as a loft board for storage.
With its convenient tongue and groove design, installation becomes effortless, ensuring a seamless process.The longer side of the boards should be laid at 90° to the joist and the ends of the boards should always meet on a joist.
Floor board joints should also be staggered which will add strength to the total floor area
Boards should be fixed with screws at every joist. To ensure screws do not sit above the floor they should be countersunk and a pilot hole should also be drilled into the floorboard which will make the fixing of the floor easier
Do not fit two ends of the boards between joists (over a void) as this could cause the boards to sag and potentially break if walked on as well as being a weak area in the floor design.
